涂中縫膠→書芯與軟包封面套合→壓槽→掃襯→壓平定型。精裝書殼的結(jié)構(gòu)根據(jù)行業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)CY/T.6-91精裝書殼質(zhì)量的要求及檢驗(yàn)方法，將精裝書殼分為整面書殼和接面書殼兩種。整面書殼是由一張完整的封面材料制成(如全布面全紙面)。接面書殼的封面材料不是一整塊，通常是封面和封底用一種材料，書腰用一種材料并接而成(如布腰紙面皮腰布面和包四角的封面)。精裝書殼是由軟質(zhì)裱面材料，里層材料和中徑紙三部分組成。常用的裱面材料有綢緞人造革漆布塑料紙各種織物及紙張等。里層材料，即組成前后封的材料，多采用紙板。中徑紙用厚紙或紙板。

我國(guó)生產(chǎn)的精裝書籍畫冊(cè)等封面用紙板為平張紙板，其尺寸為1350mm×920mm。在裁切紙板時(shí)，應(yīng)從四邊裁去10mm左右的紙板邊，而后根據(jù)書刊的開本尺寸，計(jì)算出書殼紙板的尺寸，按經(jīng)濟(jì)的排列方案，并盡可能地使書籍的書背沿紙板纖維的縱紋進(jìn)行裁切。目前裁切紙板除用單面切紙機(jī)外，還用與紙板壓平烘干機(jī)連接使用的圓刀式切紙機(jī)。
